Join us for a seminar regarding the twists and turns endemic to a case encompassing the estate of deceased model Anna Nicole Smith and the estate of her deceased husband, Texas billionaire Howard Marshall. The fictional court case in Chancery Jarndyce and Jarndyce is taken from the Charles Dickens novel Bleak House. The case concerns the fate of a large inheritance that has dragged on for generations prior to the action of the novel. Legal costs, by the time of the resolution of the case, have consumed the entire estate. The case has become a byword for an interminable legal proceeding that also describes the costly legal machinations of Marshall v. Marshall.
