JMBM Attorney Tim Lappen, chairman of the Firm’s Family Office Group, spoke at the Milken Institute Global Conference on April 24-26, 2006 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The 2006 Global Conference explored the most crucial matters facing the nation and individual states, including health care, jobs, education, tax policy, homeland security and much more. It focused on global issues as well, outsourcing, energy, financial risk and the prospect of curing deadly diseases. The conference addressed the global competition for human capital – the ideas, skills and innovations from people – that is accelerating and changing business and the world. Mr. Lappen participated on a panel discussion entitled, "Finding Your Best-Fit Family Office Solution." The panel of family office experts shed light on this fragmented, fast-changing business by revealing how successful private families have prioritized their needs to find the optimal mix of in-house and outsourced family office services.
